Howth

I am the type of person who believes in the magic of experiencing unique places that I like to call “gems.” These are the locations that make you feel free. I love to breathe in fresh air, admire stunning views, and enjoy peaceful moments by myself. I can't believe I am having this incredible experience in a city called Howth. One of the main aspects of my travels is the opportunity to smell, see, and learn about the different places I visit. I feel very comfortable learning about these locations because of the welcoming people who live in Howth.

Today, I meet Zac and Erin, along with a beautiful dog named Lucky. Zac is our tour guide, and he explains various parts of Howth to us. Our group hikes five miles, and during this journey, I have the chance to see amazing views and understand more about the population of around 9,000 people who reside in this beautiful area. I feel grateful to be hiking, breathing fresh air, and enjoying everything that surrounds me.

After my wonderful hiking experience, the next plan is to take a boat trip to explore the nearby islands, particularly Ireland's Eye. This island is home to a large population of birds and is located 1,200 to 1,500 meters from Howth Harbour. One of the things I find fascinating is the different materials that make up the rocks. They are formed from Cambrian quartzite and greywacke, which are clearly visible in the steep cliffs on the northern and eastern faces of the main island. The layers are distinct, allowing us to see how these rocks have transformed over centuries.

I love to say that this adventure is unique and interesting. I am excited about all the things I see during my travels and how I can express my appreciation for visiting such beautiful places.
