Transcending Boundaries – The Artist at Work showcases a strong collection of artwork from the Matheny Arts Access Program. This program supports 33 artists with disabilities in creating visual, literary, and performing arts. This exhibition highlights the unique and creative approaches these artists use, driven by curiosity, authenticity, and a deep commitment to expressing themselves.

The main idea of Transcending Boundaries is that art is a universal language. It goes beyond speech, culture, and physical ability. Each artwork shows how creating art serves as a form of communication. Through bright colors, bold marks, dynamic compositions, and personal images, these artists share stories and feelings that might otherwise go unheard. Their artwork proves that creativity can bring people together, highlighting our different experiences and the connections we share.
